Mika and Shakira!

Hiya!

So I've just been hanging around recently and love the new video for Shakira's new single , She Wolf (La Loba... I like the spanish version better) I love the video although its a tad weird.

Mika has also released a new video for his song We Are Golden. Love the song and the video is amazing. I think it reflects what a crazy young teenager must do in their rooms when bored. :o) I love it and it is funny too.

Check them out!!!!!!!

Music Makes My World Go 'Round

Hi!
Thank you so much for commenting, please continue with your excellent feedback!

As you may of noticed there is music playing on this blog! Wowie! :D If you look to the bottom of the page you will see a simplified version of what I listen to while I write. I've been at it like crazy although I recently took to avoiding my laptop in fear of writing more... Sounds odd seeing as I do want to write more but I came to a realization the other day about the plot and the characters.
It was perhaps no longer than two days ago that I lay on my bed with my fan blowing cool air on me, the lights out and Snow Patrol playing softly on my walkman that I discovered something grave and exciting about what was going to happen in this world I had made up. It makes me want to write more to get to the point that this incident occurs and at the same time it makes me want to shut up my little old lappy and never touch it again. Obviously it would suck to do the latter so I'll stick with the former.

A quick note now to any questions about this or to those whom I know will be reading my book soon. ~ I am not going to give any more information than this. If you ask a question you may not recieve an answer if it is going to give anything important away. From now on I'm in lockdown mode with my mind. Its crunch time and the book will be done soon! I can feel it.

I finished Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, now onto Through the Looking Glass.
It was such a wonderful book and it was more than I expected. I laughed through the many pages and it was awesome! :)

Byes!

P.S. Comment :D Tell me what you think of The Allison Warp painting.

Harry Potter AND Coldplay

Hello!

A few days ago I went and watched Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince at a midnight viewing. I'm sure why I did that seeing as it was utter madness but it was good. The movie is by far the best one out of the six and it was bloody hilarious. Daniel Radcliffe, the actor who plays Harry really did well in this one. He was a laugh riot during one sequence. Rupert Grint, Ronald Weasley, was also brilliant in the fact that he did some scenes that were probably way out of his comfort zone, not giving anything away, and he was also really funny too. Emma Watson, Hermione Granger, played a very different type of Hermione this time around. I don't know about everyone else who saw the movie but as an actress I think she has come a very long way. I thought she was amazing in the movie and I really believed what she felt. The whole way through.

Any way thats enough raving about that. I shall now rave about something else!

I was downtown yesterday and was in a little market place that I absolutely adore, and I bought the cutest cowgirl hat. My friend and I got hungry so we went to this other street full of shops and went down into a black market ( not like it sounds, it sells clothing, cds, nice things not bad lol) and I bought two coldplay cd's! Now coldplay is amazing and all but I am now going to share why I'm so overly happy about this two cd's. When I write I often need a backround noise to keep me sane and focaused. Sometimes I put my fan on but most times I listen to Snow Patrol or Coldplay to stay on it. I love these two bands to death. Without them I doubt half my story would not be written. Their music inspires me a lot and it makes me really happy. So ya I love them!

Talk to you soon , I'm off to write!

Writing

Hi,
Today I started the next painting in The Allison Series. I'm not sure when it will be done but hopefully soon. I have had a busy day. I made enchiladas (vegetarian ones of course (o; ) and cheese cake. Both were really tasty. I feel as if I've now gained twenty pounds though.
I spent over three hours today writing my novel today as well. I have much more to write seeing as I'm on a roll but need a quick break. my back is beginning to hurt and I am starting to feel restless. I am surprised that I was able to sit and write for so long. I think I will go have a shower and run around for a bit then come back to writing.
Happy Days!

Finished Moreau...

Hi All,

I finished The Island of Doctor Moreau a few days ago and just thought I would tell you what I thought. All in all it was a nice read. The author writes brilliantly! I cannot begin to describe the wonderful words he uses to portray his thoughts and visions. It is simply outstanding. The English freak in me admires that. On the other hand, I felt that in some places the story seemed a tad dull or too slow. I don't know if this is due to the mindset I was in at the time or if it was just simply non-attractive to me. At other points I enjoyed the story quite a bit so I think perhaps I may have to be in a certain mood to read sci-fi novels. The novel has given me some aspirations to paint certain things. Not quite sure how to describe the visions though. At the moment I'm brushing up on my Harry Potter six. The movie comes out soon and in actuality I am seeing it at midnight on Tuesday. Tomorrow. I'm torn weather to keep re-reading it or not. I am enjoying it but I don't like the rush. Plus I still haven't read Alice's Adventure's in Wonderland! What to do... What to do.

Well Happy Readings!!!

The Allison Warp

At long last the painting is finally done. I used Acrylic Paint, Liquitex Matte Medium(gel medium), and my good old Staedtler Lumocolor permanent marker for ink.

The Thought Process
Before the idea came to me I was doodling in my notebook about Alice in Wonderland and Tim Burton Characters because I was getting excited to see his new Alice movie coming out in 2010. After a few weeks of just thinking about random things and drawing them I thought of this series which started with this painting right here. In my sketch book I drew a few drafts of what it should look like and just went for it. The idea changed from what was in my sketch book but thats okay. I tried to used strong lines to bring you into the centre but I like the fact that because they were painted (using a lot of patience and steady hand movement) they are rugged. I like pink and needed a bright colour so it just went there. It lightens the painting I find. The black balances the image out and adds another dimension to it. The numbers show that the centre of the image is the gravitational source.
What this painting means could be different to another than it is to me. I have many guesses as to what this painting is demonstrating but I think that the viewer should make their own assumptions. I believe that with every art form and with whatever piece you find whether it be a song, painting or play, it has an underlying meaning. Sometimes even the artist does not even pick it out for themselves.

IDEA!

Hello Everyone,

Man oh man did I have a good idea a few days ago. Still haven't got around to reading Alice's Adventures in Wonderland but out of my own conceptions about Alice, the book and Wonderland I've thought of an idea for a short series of paintings that are Alice and other aspects of the Disney Movie or the book but are mixed in with my own ideas an messages. I'm going to use acrylic paint which I haven't really used much. I will learn as I go though. So they will be made of acrylic paint like I just said, gel medium photo transfers and maybe some ink. The paintings will all be made on11in by 14in Canvas Panels. If you have made photo transfers before you will know that they take time so plus the actual painting and all that jazz, the transfers have to dry and settle and what not sooooooo this project will take awhile. Sit tight and I will post these babies as they come! I will try to take photos of the process work to make it interesting.

See you soon!

Obessed...

Okay it's quite late where I live but I can't help but be awake. I think I've become obsessed with Taylor Swift and its causing me to listen to Shania Twain too. I love both their music. Hey I can proudly say ,"Yes I like country music!" and tell it to the world. Just thinking I have to add art links to the "Art-Like" link section. One is pinhole photographer and she is really awesome. I love photography (if your rich please send me an SLR camera!) and I really enjoy pinhole photography too. Seeing as I only have access to a dark room for a short amount of time throughout the year i can't really persue that art of photography. Perhaps when I do have access to the dark room I could load up a bunch of tin cans (Yeah thats right I can make a pinhole camera out of a tin can.) and take them out and try and get some nice photos. You know I may just try that. Just got to recieve the bosses okay!
Take a look at this artist and I will find more great art for you to look at!

Cards

I like making things and I like writing to people so I started to make handmade cards a while back. I make a lot now. Here are a few recent ones! Forgive my horrible camera. It makes everything blurred and adds a weird yellow light to it...

Old Pictures Turned New

Hi,
Today I was bored so I quickly edited things photo's on photoshop. I took these photos last fall at a friends farm. I was able to borrow an Nikon SLR camera and it was amazing... I love big, shiny cameras. :o) Anyway so I took these photos .... Take a look!

Simple Waves that I keep very moody.Farm Things
I used the dodge tool to lighten and then adjusted the colours and brightness and contrast. I like it. It gives me a nice homey feel and reminds me of beautiful fall trees.
